Last month, we launched a new menu in our cafe featuring an exciting, delicious new signature: the Chicken Tikka Naan’wich. We marinate chicken breasts in whole milk yogurt & Indian spices – the yogurt tenderizes the chicken so delicately and the spices add such depth of flavor. The chicken is grilled and added to warmed naan, then topped with 

  • Desi Slaw, an Indian slaw made of red cabbage, lime, mustard seeds, cilantro, jalapeno and sesame seeds. 
  • Cilantro Chutney – not unlike a chimichurri sauce
  • Garlic Yogurt Sauce

Our Desi Slaw, Cilantro Chutney & Garlic Yogurt Sauce are all our take on what nearly all Indian households make in their home. The other items on our menu are a spinoff of this Naan’wich – we roast cauliflower in the same Indian spices for a vegetarian option, and replace the naan for mixed greens in a salad version of either with a cilantro lime dressing.

On our last trip to India, we must have had some type of chicken dish – tandoori, butter chicken or similar every night (and we weren’t complaining!). This naan’wich is inspired by the wonderful food we had while there.

As our business was founded to highlight & give back to missions projects in Eurasia – we liked the idea of incorporating more flavors from that part of the world.
